This qualifier was rather interesting. As a start, this is a completely different qualifier than any other CTM qualifier. As you could probably tell if you were watching my stream, this is my first ever CTM qualifier where I was using rolling technique. Developed by Cheez_E, it is when you hit the back of the controller for faster inputs. I was switching from hypertapping, which was pioneered by the Joseph Saelee, to rolling. This was something that I had never attempted before, so it was rather different. I was able to get a whopping 6 maxouts in an hour, and 2 of them being 1.1, and 2 of them being 1.2. This was something that was not expected for me, as this is my second highest CTM qualifier, AND I was using a different playstyle. What was even more good was that the rolling did actually come into play on the high scoring games. As you could tell if you were watching the stream, on the high score games, the crucial last 100k - 200k was done on killscreen. This was something that was honestly unthinkable just a year ago, and now we're here. It is rather insane how this started from Adrien Wu. The top 2 scores were C88 and C49, which amounts to around C60, which is very tolerable. Overall, this qualifier was pretty good for me. I am rather excited to see how the February CTM is going to go, as a few heavy hitters have already qualified extremely high, such as Alex Thach, etc. We also have markpm0, or Mark Migas, who qualified with an insane 1.2 average as a DAS player. Again, this CTM will be extremely, extremely interesting. Hopefully I can get at least top 4 for the YoinkBear. Overall, this qualifier was good, and I am very interested to see where this would put me at the end of the month.
