Lol wtf lol wtf lol wtf. This is by far my best qual ever, and I am incredibly happy with how it went. I didn't really expect to qual today, but then I got a 790 AO2 in 20 minutes a bit before this attempt, so that made me decide to qual. I then proceed to fucking destroy that, and get not one but 2 800ks, with almost a 3rd. The top score, which had 62 bars at 227 lines, started at 29:44, and it was very nice to get this score, as it was my best score since my level 30 I believe. It was also my 3rd 800k and 5th 700k of the day, with my 2nd 800k of the day coming also in this qual at 7:58, which is my 2nd highest score in this qual. Mental, hopefully I can skip hopefuls and jump straight to futures, which would be absolutely insane. I also want to quickly mention my 797 that died in 26, as it could have been a 900k, which would have bumped my qual up to ~870k. Not even mad though, had a smile on my face throughout the qual and was laughing at the thought that I could have a qual this good. No clue how but I outqualled Mecex and finished right next to Wallbant, both of whom are insane rollers. If this is my peak in CTM, I'll be fine with it because nearly 3 800ks in an hour is absurd. Wanna keep getting better at the game and keep trying to go for that 1.1, because I know I can get it. If you are reading this, and you haven't qualled, then I wish you good luck on your qual, and hope you are as pleased with your qual as I am with mine. This is a bit long, but that is fine because I want to try to make it longer than dog's one, so I'll talk about my playstyle. I use keyboard DAS on level 18, with occasional tapping if I need to get out of a high situation or don't think I can get it over with DAS, and exclusively tap on level 19. Despite the fact that I'm only an 11hz tapper, tapping personally gives me a big advantage over using DAS on level 19. No killscreen play because I'm a slow tapper, and in one of the games I would have needed to hit 6 high right for a level 29 tetris, which is barely possible for the fastest hypertappers like Alex Thach and Moja, and still hard for rollers. Overall, very good qual, not much else to say so I'm going to go on a tangent about chess. The Tata Steel 2022 started recently, and I have been watching GothamChess recaps of it. Magnus Carlsen, arguably the greatest chess player of all time, is trying to get to 2900 elo, and he is provisionally at 2866, 62 elo points higher than the teenager phenom Alireza Firouzja, who is not participating in the event due to disputes with the event organisers. Magnus currently leads the event with 5 points out of 7. Their 2 main pools are also called Masters and Challengers, the same as CTM. So that's it, and I want to say thank you to everyone who watched my qual, and to the person that is checking the qual, I really do appreciate your work, and I'm sure the entire community appreciates the work that the qual checker team does, as well as the mods and restreamers who make this whole thing possible.
