Story 1: Long time ago in the year of 2010, a Bendy was born. He didn't know it yet, but he would create history. In 2020 he found a Youtube video about the CTWC 2019 quaterfinals, with Joseph vs. Greentea. At the time, he was a Joseph fan. Unknowingly changing the course of the timeline. A year later, the Bendy started to play NES Tetris. He wasn't very good, but his dedication and resilience proved him worthy to challenge the ultimate task. 19-5 on B-Type with Das. Das was the main playstyle for years. In 2020 however, the das playstyle was told to be dead. Bendy did not let this stop him. He had challenged 19-5 in the past, but now, he was stronger than ever. 19-5 held on for the first day. On the second day however, Bendy was destroying 19-5. Brick by brick, Bendy cleared line by line. Then, it was over. Bendy jumped for joy with his achievement. The malevolent 19-5 had been defeated with das.
Story 2:
So, you've just gotten your tetris gym cartridge, you boot it up, aaaaannnnddddd you have no idea what anything means. This is why I am making this video, to help people avoid the struggle that I went through.
Part 1: The settings. On the bottom of your screen, you will see settings which will impact how the other modes work. Changing “Scoring” will change how you perceive your score and will NOT change how many points you get per line-clear. The default setting, classic, will use hexadecimal to score going from 0 to F and will overflow back to 0. The next option is Letters. Letters is similar to classic with one change. After 1.5 million, the score will go to G and beyond, instead of rolling-over. 7 digit is everything the name implies. This mode changes the 6 digit score to a 7 digit score. The setting “M” is easily the most complicated of the bunch. “M” is short for Million. It will add a million counter underneath your score, and will cause rollovers to happen every million points instead of the usual 1.6 million. The last one, “capped” simply causes your score to get capped at 999999. Hz display and input display will add a hz display and input display instead of the usual piece count. Disable flash will cause Tetrises to not give off a flash upon cleared. Disable pause will make you unable to pause during gameplay. Goofy-foot will cause all your buttons to flip, ie: left is right and b is a. Block tool is an interesting one. When you pause during gameplay, you can move your piece without gravity and change what piece you are using. Linecap will cause your game to change when turned on. You can press start on the linecap setting to change when the linecap will happen and what will happen when you reach the line count. Killscreen x2 will cause the pieces to fall very fast, floor will cause every succeeding level to cause the board to get smaller, Invis will cause the pieces to be invisible, and halt will stop the game. Das only will cause any taps over 10 hertz to stop moving, forcing you to use the best playstyle. Qual mode is what you will use during qualifiers. It will implement the field to close and cause a rocket screen over all scores above 30k. This mode is also the only way to turn off the next box. The last setting is called “Pal Mode.” This will cause all mechanics to work like the pal version of the game except one. If you are playing on ntsc, which will cause the game to still be at 60 hertz.
