4 years ago today, at the age of 41, my mother passed away from cancer. Today has been a pretty hard day for me. She was part of the reason I even started Tetris. Unfortunately, she never got to witness me playing NES Tetris. I still think though that she is looking down on me and is proud of me for this qual and everything I have accomplished in Classic Tetris. I just wish she was here right now.

In regard to the qual itself: I am super happy with it! I got 5 maxouts, 3 1.1+ scores, and the 1.2 was around 150k post post and a level 34. :)
