STRUCTURE: Masters is a 32-player flat bracket. All other tournaments are 16-player standard brackets.

FORMAT: All tournament matches are best-of-five, with the highest topout score winning each game.
PLAYSTYLE: Any playstyle is allowed. Players may not qualify with a less advanced playstyle (DAS->Hypertap->Rolling) than they play in the tournament.
KILLSCREEN: No articifical linecap will be imposed, but CRASH MODE in the Tetris Gym cartridge should be set to CRASH to simulate the natural crash behavior of the original NES Tetris cartridge. LEVEL: Masters, Futures, Hopefuls, Community T1: Level 18 starts for all games. Lowest tier every month: Levels 9, 12, 15, and 18 starts can be selected. 18 may only be chosen by mutual agreement, and either player may veto it. All other tiers:** Levels 12, 15, and 18 can be selected. Lowest seed chooses first and then players will alternate.
SCHEDULING: Masters is scheduled in groups of 2 or 3 matches by a scheduler according to player and streamer availability. Matches for all other tournaments are scheduled individually among players, and will be streamed by a community restreamer.
PIECES: Masters: Same piece sets (SPS) is required for matchplay. Seeds will be re-rolled between each game. All other tournaments: SPS is not required, but is highly encouraged if both players have Tetris Gym. Ultimately, both players must agree. The initial agreement is binding for the entire match.
