Tournament Format and Rules

QUALIFYING DEADLINE: October 1st at 1200UTC (noon). (For US Americans who need help, this is 8am in New York, 7am in Austin, 6am in Denver, 5am in Los Angeles). The qualifying deadline will display in the Events tab in the CTM discord.
WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE: You may withdraw your qualifier without penalty before September 1st at 1800UTC.
STRUCTURE: MEGA DASTERS is a 64-player double-elimination tournament. There are no flat-bracket byes. The tournament is expected to run throughout October and November 2026 and end before the end of November.
SEEDING: Players are seeded in order of their qualifying scores. There are no guaranteed spots earned from previous tournaments.
FORMAT: All tournament matches (except the finals and bracket reset finals) are best-of-five, with the highest topout score winning each game. The finals and bracket reset finals (if necessary) are best-of-seven.
PLAYSTYLE: Only the DAS playstyle is allowed. Players should follow the "Spirit of DAS", meaning actually play the DAS playstyle as it is commonly understood. One quicktap is allowed at the end of a DAS movement. Continual slowtapping under DAS limits is not allowed. Violations of this provision will be judged at the sole discretion of the tournament organizer. "DAS mode" on Tetris Gym is not required to be turned on, but may be imposed selectively and at any time on players at the sole discretion of the tournament organizer.
LEVEL: Level 18 starts for all games.
SCHEDULING: DAS Masters is scheduled in groups of 2, 3, or 4 matches by a scheduler according to player and streamer availability.
SCHEDULING DEADLINE: Players must have sufficient availability and flexibity to schedule and complete their first two matches within the first two weeks of the tournament, and must exhibit availability and flexibility throughout the duration of the tournament. Players whose availability is judged to be detrimental to the timely completion of the tournament are subject to removal without compensation at the sole and unilateral discretion of the tournament organizer.
NO SHOW POLICY: Players who fail to appear for a scheduled match will be subject to removal without compensation at the sole and unilateral discretion of the tournament organizer. Players must give ample advanced notice for scheduling changes, understood generally to be the day before the match.
PIECES: Same piece sets (SPS) is required for all tournament matches.
GAME INTEGRITY: Players may not intentionally play below their true skill level ("smurf") in order to play in a lower seed position. Violations of this provision will be judged at the sole discretion of the tournament organizer.
PLAYER IDENTITY: Players must stream with both face and hands visible on camera. By participating in a tournament, players agree to be streamed on our various livestreaming platforms and to allow CTM to use the recorded footage in our public archives and other video content. Players must conform to the Terms and Conditions of the various platforms involved with the tournament (e.g. Twitch, Discord).
