Classic Tetris PAL partners with CTM!

In essence, the Top 16 qualifiers will compete in a single elimination tournament known as Tier 1. The top four players of Tier 1 will enter the prize pool! Remaining qualifiers will filter to Tier 2 and Tier 3 with 16 players each.

Quals are open until October 24th (you may qualify on October 23rd) in your time zone! Tournament runs to November 17th.

No linecaps in this one. Round 1 and 2 will be best of seven with the finals being a massive best of nine!

Tier 1 will be super restreamed with groups of four on MonthlyTetris while Tier 2 and 3 will be community restreamed except for the finals! If more and more people qualify, we will consider adding more tiers.

Allowed starting levels for quals are 15, 18, and 19. Players with a personal best score below 300,000 before their qualifiers and their opponent are allowed to choose level 12, 15, and 18. Players with a personal best score below 200,000 before their qualifiers and their opponent are allowed to choose level 9, 12, 15, and 18.

Accepted versions:

Emulators, Everdrives, Fractal's PAL Speedhack, and the “Tetris Gym” cart/ROM are allowed. Players must make sure not to use any features that could give them an advantage over other players, namely: fast-forwarding or any other speed related issue, additional scripts, patched ROMs (other than Tetris Gym) or multiple input bindings. All GameGenie codes besides rocket screen skip, legal screen skip and maxout uncap are forbidden. For full rules, join the CTP server.
