CTM MEGA MASTERS 2026
This is where you qualify for Classic Tetris Monthly MEGA MASTERS 2026, etc.
QUALIFIERS ARE 90 MINUTES Y'ALL
If you're brand new, here's the full rules.
- This month, the qualifier will be ninety minutes long 90! NINETY! NOT SIXTY!!! Click 'Start Qualifier' when you're, like, ready to actually qualify.
- You'll be taken to a screen that gives you an AUTH WORD. This will be used to timestamp your qualifying session.
- You'll also see the form to submit your scores and your VOD link and stuff.

QUALIFYING DEADLINE: May 1st at 1200UTC (noon). (For US Americans who need help, this is 8am in New York, 7am in Austin, 6am in Denver, 5am in Los Angeles). The qualifying deadline will display in the Events tab in the CTM discord.
WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE: You may withdraw your qualifier without penalty before May 1st at 1800UTC.
STRUCTURE: Mega Masters is a 64-player, D O U B L E W I D E, flat bracket. Community tournaments are 16-player standard brackets.
SEEDING: Players are seeded in order of their qualifying scores. The previous month's Masters finalists will be guaranteed a spot in Mega Masters. Additionally, any winner of an Open playstyle Masters since and including the previous Mega Masters is guaranteed a spot. (NOTE: Players must submit a qualifier to be eligible for an automatic spot).
FORMAT: All tournament matches through and including the semifinals are best-of-five, and the finals are best-of-seven, with the highest topout score winning each game. If there is a 3rd-place match, it will be best-of-five
PLAYSTYLE: Any playstyle is allowed. Players may not "smurf" by qualifying with a less advanced playstyle (DAS->Hypertap->Rolling) than they play in the tournament.
KILLSCREEN: Mega Masters players must use the 2xKS feature of Tetris Gym set to level 39. In tiers below Mega Masters, normal level rules apply, i.e. if both players don't have Tetris Gym, they must "just stop playing" at level 39 .
LEVEL: Masters, Futures, Hopefuls, Community T1: Level 18 starts for all games. Community T2/T3: Players take turns (lower seed first) choosing either level 15 or 18. Community T4/T5: Players take turns (lower seed first) choosing either level 12, 15, or 18. Community T6 and below: Players take turns (lower seed first) choosing either level 9, 12, 15, (18 may be chosen only by mutual agreement, and either player may veto it).
SCHEDULING: Mega Masters is scheduled in groups of 2 or 3 matches by a scheduler according to player and streamer availability. Community matches are scheduled individually among players, and will be streamed by a community restreamer.
SCHEDULING DEADLINES: 1. Players must respond to scheduling availability requests within 24 hours. 2. Players must complete Round 1 and Round 2 matches before Thursday, May 14th at 1200 UTC. 3. Players must complete Round 3 and Round 4 matches before Friday, May 29th at 1200 UTC. 4. The final three rounds (THE TOP 8) will be streamed on Saturday, May 30th at 1900 UTC (2pm US Central Time). 5. PLAYERS MUST BE AVAILABLE AT THIS TOP 8 TIME and long enough to play 3 matches if you get to the finals!!!! 6. Players whose availability prevents or restricts other players from completing matches before the posted deadlines will face removal and forfeiture from the tournament, at the discretion of the tournament organizers. 7. Players who miss their scheduled match will be removed and forfeited from the tournament. Missing a match is defined as being 20 minutes late for a match without advance notice, or requesting to reschedule outside the completion deadline for the match. 8. Players who are removed or forfeited from the tournament will not be eligible for tournament prizes.
PIECES: Mega Masters: Same piece sets (SPS) using Tetris Gym is required. All other tournaments: SPS is not required, but is highly encouraged if both players have Tetris Gym. Ultimately, both players must agree. The initial agreement is binding for the entire match.
PLAYER IDENTITY: Mega Masters: Players must stream with both face and hands visible on camera. By participating in a tournament, players agree to be streamed on our various livestreaming platforms and to allow CTM to use the recorded footage (and screenshots) in our public archives and other content. Players must conform to the Terms and Conditions of the various platforms involved with the tournament (e.g. Twitch, Discord, Matcherino).
